In today’s news, Switzerland initiates first donation to new climate fund, research finds most past COVID patients have heart health issues, people across United States sing His Excellency Donald Trump “Happy Birthday,” coffee-reinforced concrete sidewalk introduced in Australia, grassroots leader from India wins top environmental prize, American entrepreneur creates Haitian menu with vegan flair, and Qatar Airlines flies 6 rescued young lion-citizens from Kuwait to South Africa.

I’m here to offer a few tips on how to care for aging parents. Make a checklist or "report card" to monitor daily routines and activities. Include essential tasks such as meal preparation, household chores, mobility within and outside the home, laundry, shopping, financial matters, medication adherence, bathing, dressing, and eating. Regularly update this checklist to track any changes or challenges they may encounter in performing these activities - difficulties may signal underlying issues. Additionally, maintain detailed records if they experience any symptoms or conditions that necessitate medical attention, including hourly notes and temperature readings. Emphasize proper hygiene practices for both you and them, such as frequent handwashing, to reduce the risk of illness and infection. Deal with common issues like dry skin, particularly prevalent during winter months, by making moisturizing products more available. Given the high occurrence of hypertension in older adults, ensure you have a reliable blood pressure monitor available and record readings. Health monitoring empowers you to take pre-emptive measures for your loved one's well-being.

The joke of the day is here to lead us to a hilarious moment. Let’s tag along! This one’s entitled “Identical...Except for the Hair.”

A woman walks into a restaurant and sees identical twins sitting at a table. Confused, she approaches them and asks,

“Excuse me, are you twins?”

One brother replies:

“Yes, we are. How did you know?”

“Because you both look exactly the same!”

The other twin leans in and whispers to his brother:

“See? I told you we shouldn't have dyed our hair the same color!”

And now we have a heartline from Samantha in New Zealand
